Rotary Valves in Dry Stucco Powder Processing

 |
Case history
The Siniat Bristol plant processes dry stucco ready for the manufacture of plasterboards and other building materials.

The installation for the additional line of the plant started in July 2017, which enabled the production to be onset by mid November 2017.

The new line features now an RVC/80 Drop-through Rotary Valve with chain drive and chrome- coated body manufactured by TOREX, a 17m-long TCX200B1 Chain Conveyor provided by RONCUZZI and a WAM VG Slide Valve for interception of gravity material flow.

The application required for the dry stucco powder to be flood-fed (0.8 t/m3) from the silo into the screw feeder to obtain continuous heavy-duty throughput at 120-140 °C.
